Thomas joined the Winthrop community in 1988 and worked in Dacus Library. Friends described her as someone always ready to lend an ear to others' stories, especially ones about their children and pets.
The Fall Welcome Book Sale will be held Sept. 27 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. in Dacus Library. Books, magazines, records, software, postcards and more will be available for purchase.
